WOMAN’S BODY – on tour
– A DANCE PERFORMANCE ABOUT WOMEN IN MENOPAUSE
Woman’s body dives right into the sore spot: When the woman’s body goes into menopause. For many years, it has been either taboo or slightly derogatory to talk about hot flashes, dizziness, hormone components, lack of desire or other signs of menopause. The body changes – life changes – but in the fall from the fertility peak, the middle-aged woman is driven out on a siding. At least this was how it was before the 50s became the new 40s and both men and women prolong life and youth.

JUST OK
Just ok is the second performance in a trilogy addressing how dance can hold a space for loss. The trilogy attends to notions of emptiness referring to grief, and how something can be so achingly present and at the same time so utterly gone.
The performance engages in a kind of horror that is neither spectacular nor immediate, but suggests a mood of subtle and gradual unease; something ominous, formless and obscure.

pour it
pour it is a riverine dance performance and stream of friendships and shorelines portraits. A piece that floats between ecosystems, lingers by bodies of water and dances with ever changing aspects of love.
pour it is an extension of the piece drivtømmer (eng. driftwood) from 2019 and continues the inquiry into intimacy, watery habitats and thresholds. The work circulates around transformations and portals – choreographic actions that serve as portals into other stages of being, the possibility of assuming the shape of the other and giving in to transformation.

SWOP International dance festival for children and young people
It is with great sadness that we must announce the cancellation of our beloved SWOP Festival 2020, which was supposed to have taken place April 30-May 5.
Due to the current conditions caused by the Covid19, we do not find it responsible for the audience, artists, volunteers or staff to go through with an international dance festival for young people and children.
We hope everyone stays well and gets through this crisis in the best possible way. We continue our work with future projects and we are looking forward to being around each other again and being able to move together – hopefully soon.
Stay well and keep up the good spirit!
Warm, digital, dance wishes and lots of love
